Steph has practiced law for more than 20 years, with experience in various areas of family law and civil law. Working primarily with high net-worth clients, Steph drafts family law legal memoranda, briefs, and agreements, and handles voluminous discovery and complex litigation matters.
Prior to joining Barnett Law Group, Steph’s practice for ten years focused primarily on financial services and complex commercial litigation, including special skills in appellate litigation in both federal and state courts. Steph gained superior research and writing skills during her lengthy tenure at two large multi-national law firms where she represented financial services clients in all aspects of litigation, from case inception through settlement or appeal. Steph has a high record of success in more than 200 appellate matters and has negotiated numerous cases to successful resolution.
Steph also has experience in labor and employment law having worked for the federal government, a boutique law firm, and a large state level labor organization. She has an advanced degree in real estate law.
Steph began practicing law in Pennsylvania in 2001 and received her California license in 2020. Her experience practicing different types of law in different parts of the country has given her a unique perspective in approaching complex family law cases.

Education
Steph is a 1996 graduate of the University of Southern California where she double majored in English and Psychology. She received her Master of Arts Degree (MA) in English Literature from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1998. Steph received her Juris Doctorate (JD) from the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University in 2001. She also received her Master of Laws (LLM) in Environmental Law and Real Estate with highest honors from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008.
