Marquitta Murrell is the legal assistant to Stephanie M. Barnett. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Marquitta began her career with the U.S. Government and has worked at the National Institute of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, the Department of Labor, and the United States Pentagon with the Airforce as a civilian. At the Pentagon, she worked for the Research and Development Department and was later promoted to the Judge Advocate General (JAG) division where she began her career in law. Throughout her legal career, Marquitta has worked in various areas of law, including Military, Banking, Patent, Criminal, Business, Labor & Employment, Probate, and Family Law.

A resident of Los Angeles, Marquitta enjoys jewelry making, travel, knitting, reading and playing cards. She is the proud mother of two adult sons.

Marquitta attended the University of District of Columbia where she majored in electronics.
