Christine V. Twining

Of Counsel

Christine is a seasoned family law attorney with over 14 years of family law experience. She is certified as a Specialist in Family Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.

After nearly 6 years as an associate attorney at the family law firm of Harris-Ginsberg, LLP, Christine founded her own practice devoted exclusively to family law in 2011. Through her firm, The Law Office of Christine V. Twining,  APC,  she handles marriage and divorce-related issues through consulting, limited scope, pre-Judgment litigation, post-Judgment modifications, and mediation services.  Christine’s work includes advocating for her clients in connection with domestic violence and civil restraining orders, child support service department (CSSD) cases, and legal separation and nullity cases.  Christine also drafts and reviews cohabitation, premarital and postnuptial agreements.

Christine also serves as pro bono counsel for clients of the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law, an organization whose mission is to provide free legal services in family law matters for persons who cannot afford to hire private counsel.  She also volunteers to train to new volunteers for the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law.

Education

Christine is a graduate of Brown University where she earned her undergraduate degree in 1999. While in law school, she served as a judicial extern in the Los Angeles Superior Court Family Law Division for the Hon. Roy L. Paul, Retired. Christine received her law degree from Southwestern University School of Law in 2004.
